Born in 1968 into the eighth generation of the renowned Racz family of musicians, Laszlo Racz began his musical studies on violin and piano before discovering his true passion for the cimbalom at the age of nine. He completed his training at the Béla Bartók Conservatory and graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest.
A versatile artist, László performs a wide range of repertoire — from traditional Hungarian and Roma music to jazz and classical works. Between 2000 and 2003, he was a member of the Roby Lakatos Ensemble in Brussels.
Renowned for his virtuosity and expressive style, László Rácz continues to bring the rich sound of the cimbalom to international audiences.
